Margaret Moore

Margaret, aka Coach Meg, is an entrepreneur, coaching executive and a seasoned executive coach, helping leaders and their teams quickly transcend their growth edges to improve performance and thriving. Following 17-years in leadership roles in the biotechnology industry Margaret founded Wellcoaches Corporation to build the coaching workforce in healthcare. Wellcoaches has trained 11,000 coaches in 50 countries.

A thought leader in coaching science, Margaret co-founded the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, and co-founded the annual Coaching in Leadership & Healthcare conference offered by Harvard Medical School. Margaret teaches coaching psychology at Harvard Extension School and transformational leadership and coaching in Harvard Medical School Global Education programs. She co-authored the peer-reviewed Coaching Psychology Manual, 7 chapters in coaching textbooks, 20 peer-reviewed papers on coaching, and two Harvard Health books – Organize Your Mind, Organize Your Life and Organize Your Emotions, Optimize your Life.

She co-founded the National Board of Health & Wellness Coaches, a nonprofit subsidiary of the National Board of Medical Examiners delivering national standards and certification for health and wellness coaches, and its partnership with the CDC to develop group coaching standards for the national Diabetes Prevention Program. She is a founding contributor to an American Medical Association program that is establishing coaching competencies for medical school faculty.
